About this Study

This clinical research study will enroll approximately 2,700 patients with pain due to osteoarthritis (OA) of the hip and/or knee worldwide. The total duration of participation will be up to 77 weeks, including the screening and pre-randomization periods.

After completing the online pre-screener questionnaire, participation in this clinical research study will involve a screening to assess your current health and eligibility to participate. This will include but not limited to a blood test, a knee or hip X-ray and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the affected joint may be required.

If you are determined to be eligible for this clinical research study, and you agree to participate, there is a possibility of receiving “active” study drug. This study is designed so that neither you nor your study doctor will know to which treatment group you have been assigned. However, in the event of an emergency, this information will be available to your study doctor.
